A little bit of my story. My aspirations. What makes me tick...

I was born in a small, predominantly afrikaans-speaking town called Potchefstroom in the North-Western Province of South Africa. Later we moved to Natal where I attended english schools and matriculated in 2005. My grandfather was the first to introduce me to the world of computers, some of my first memories are of endless hours spent playing the original Microsoft games, "Solitaire" and "Free Ski". My love for technology combined with a flair for the creative resulted in my studying a Bachelor of Information Science specializing in Multimedia at the University of Pretoria. The following year I completed my honours degree also in Multimedia. After the completion of my studying I spent 6 months in Canada on a working holiday and returned to South Africa in May of 2012.

Apart from graphic and web design I am very interested in UX (User Experience.) My final year as well as my honours projects were focused on UX. I hope to pursue a career in UX in the near future.

When I'm not in front of a computer I enjoy being outside and active, particularly participating in races such as triathlons. I'm a huge animal lover. I enjoy reading and watching the latest episode of my favourite series or the newest movie. I'm a gadget girl and acquiring a new piece of technology always excites me. I hope to relocate to Cape Town in 2013.
